Work Description

  • As a priority, small irrigation programs will be conducted in partnership with the local level.
  • To increase the productivity, production and employment of clean, healthy and nutritious agricultural produce by adopting commercial farming in irrigated areas.
  • To conduct subsidy program to develop the district as a resource center by producing quality products (food and vegetable seed production, vegetable and fruit seed production (nursery), bee shell production and honey etc.).
  • At the district level, after determining the pocket clusters of potential beneficiaries, construction and operation of small agricultural roads, small irrigation, agricultural produce collection centers, agricultural produce processing centers and bazaar centers connecting production areas and bazaars or roads in partnership with the local level.
  • Encouraging farmers, farmer groups and agricultural cooperatives in the production, processing, branding and marketing of products of comparative advantage (fruits, vegetables, lentils, ginger, lemons and honey) that can be imported, substituted and exported with the aim of not buying but selling.
  • Emphasis on mechanization of agriculture by transforming the subsistence farming system to a commercial one.
  • Conducting special programs targeted at attracting unemployed youth, conflict victims, women, underprivileged groups to agriculture.
  • In order to protect the investment of farmers from accidental damages caused by hail, wind, pest, flood, etc., insurance will be made mandatory in the subsidy program.
  • Farmers, farmer groups and agricultural cooperatives should be encouraged to produce quality agricultural products of Raithane species (Chino, Kaguno, Uva, Phapar etc.).
  • Incentives and grant support to farmers, farmer groups and agricultural cooperatives who establish organic fertilizer and pesticide production industries by adopting organic farming in order to support the improvement of the environment and human health through the production and use of organic fertilizers, compost fertilizers, organic fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and biological pesticides. to do
  • Other programs like Kisan Sarkar Hatemalo program, establishment of cooperative model village, Chief Minister's Best Farmer Award will be continued.
